The Bal Masqué are a group that features in Shakugan no Shana.

History
Bal Masqué were founded at some point after the war of the creation of the Great Binding Chain that was the Creation God's first attempt to create a paradise on Earth.
Overview
In terms of ranks, Bal Masqué had its forces divided into a number roles that included:
- Waches ("Imperial Guards") : these were guards that protected Seireiden from intruders.
- Jaegers ("Search and Hunting Troops") : these weak beings were used as scouts that were often accompanied by Wanderers and acted as their lookouts on missions.
- Wanderers ("Patrollers") : warriors that were used to fight for Bal Masqué and typically accompanied by Jaegers on missions.
- Herolds ("Ordinance Officials") : non-combat members used for sending information from one place to another.
Their headquarters was a massive treasure tool known as Seireiden that floated in the sky resembling a flying castle. A cloaking ability known as Crypta was used to make it invisible to both visual and magical means allowing them to hide it from detection.
