Biography
William J. Butcher was a male human born in the modern age as the son of Samuel Butcher and Carol Atkins-Butcher with him having an older brother of named Leonard "Lenny" Butcher. Raised in London's East End, the Butcher children often spent their nights listening to their father beat their mother over minor arguments. These beatings led Billy to resent his father and he grew closer to his mother and her family. Due to his rough life at home, Billy started acting out in school leading to him getting in fights and calling teachers vulgar names. After a few years of this type of behavior, Samuel realized that Billy had taken after him and his lifestyle which was something Billy had tried hard to avoid.
After a recent bar fight, Billy came to meet a woman named Becky Saunders whilst riding a subway train. Saunders came to remark that Butcher resembled a panda with his two black eyes leading to the two striking up a conversation which continued to talk over drinks after getting off the train.
Later on, his brother Lenny was noted to had been killed by a bus in 1986.

He later came to marry her with her becoming his wife and taking the name Becky Butcher.
Powers and abilities
Butcher was originally a normal human being who came to be a physically fit individual.
He came to be a operative of the SAS special forces where he later came to be employed by the CIA.
Later on, he came to inject himself with a shot of the enhancement drug Compound V. Each dosage applied to Billy was said to be worth 19 billion dollars where it gave Butcher superhuman levels of strength and durability. With these powers, he was able to casually injure and kill regular humans as well as superhumans.
Despite his abilities, he was shown to often make use of a crowbar in such fights.
He was the founding member of a special black ops group that targeted superbeings who he labelled as The Boys.

Television
- In The Boys, Billy Butcher appeared in the setting of the Amazon Prime live-action television series where he was portrayed by actor Karl Urban. He later came to learn that Becca was indeed alive and had become pregnant with Homelanders son who she named Ryan Butcher.
