History
Celestial Being (Japanese: ソレスタルビーイング, Hepburn: Soresutarubīingu?) was a paramilitary organization that as the result of the plans of the pioneering scientist Aeolia Schenberg.
By 2307 AD, Celestial Being began their operations in the midst of the conflict of the three global powers.
Four months later, they had engaged in over sixty of their armed interventions. Public opinion was divided with some in support of the organisation whilst others rejected it. Among the three power blocs in the world, the Union and AEU announced that they would only take defensive action against Celestial Being in operations in their territories. The Human Reform League sought out a plan to engage the armed interventionists and claim their advanced Mobile Suits.
Overview
In appearance, Celestial were a small band of people that formed formed a paramilitary organization which sought to challenge the world. It began operations that transcended race, nationality and religion in a quest to change the world. The main objective was to eliminate acts of wars through the use of armed force with no apparent gain. They claimed they did this was not for their own benefit or personal gain but instead they had chosen to rid the world of the scourge of war. Celestial Being believed force demonstrated their intent which was what they believed any evident act of war carried out meant they commenced intervention was armed force.
Key operatives of Celestial Being were its Gundam Meisters (ガンダムマイスター Gandamumaisutā?) that were piloted its Gundam mecha.
This privately armed organisation in possession of the Mobile Suits known as Gundams. These were powerful weapons far superior to other forms of Mobile Suits. It was claimed that these machines demonstrated the ideals of Celestial Being. To a Gundam Meister, their secrets and mission objectives were more important than life or death. All the pilots accepted this fact with them reasoning that they could not control these machines without this determination.
All members of Celestial Being were sworn to secrecy with people unaware of anything of other members. Knowledge of the identities of the Gundam pilots and solar reactors fell under S-Level secrecy restrictions. This meant that this information was not to be disseminated to the rest of the world.
