Desdemona was the wife of Othello and daughter of Senator Brabantonio. Iago manipulated Othello into believing his wife was having an affair with his lieutenant, Cassio, eventually leading him to murder her in a jealous rage. Despite Othello's suspicions, Desdemona was never anything but faithful and loving towards her husband.
