Dr. East

Dr. East was the primary scientist employed by the Chronos Corporation. East, like most of the people employed by Chronos, was a Zoanoid: he turned into a monster that looked vaguely like a lion with goat's horns. He was put in charge of studying the Guyver unit by Fulton Balcus, and ended up accidentally swallowing the unit. As the Guyver was in the midst of reconstructing Sean Barker when East ingested it, the unit completed this task within East's stomach, and Sean cut his way free of the unlucky Zoanoid using his vibro-blades.

The name "Dr. East" may be a nod to one of Jeffrey Combs' other roles, Dr. Herbert West, from the Re-Animator films.
