Biography

Harrison Wells

Harrison Wells immediately made an impact after saving Barry Allen from King Shark. A highly charged meeting occurred as Wells formally introduced himself to Team Flash; the encounter was tense, largely because Wells bore the exact likeness of Eobard Thawne, prompting Joe West to draw a weapon on him initially. Wells quickly explained his predicament: he was a revered scientist on Earth-2 whose particle accelerator mistake had unleashed Zoom and the meta-humans. He had breached to Earth-1 with one sole purpose: to rescue his daughter, Jesse Quick, whom Zoom had kidnapped, and he required the team's assistance to do so. His presence caused friction not only due to his resemblance to Thawne but also with Jay Garrick, who blamed Wells for the entire meta-human crisis on their shared Earth. Demonstrating his pragmatic and morally flexible nature, Wells secretly broke into Mercury Labs to steal a piece of technology, an act for which Barry's partner Patty Spivot eventually shot him by mistake. His strategic mind was evident when he devised a plan to capture Earth-2 meta-human Dr. Light, intending to use her as bait for Zoom. Wells also revealed Cisco Ramon's dormant powers to the team, correctly identifying his ability to 'vibe' across dimensions. The plan to use a impersonated Dr. Light to lure Zoom ultimately failed, leaving Wells with a grim warning in the final moments as Zoom appeared, showing him a picture of a captive Jesse and issuing an ultimatum: help Zoom steal Barry Allen's speed, or his daughter would perish. (Episode: The Darkness and the Light)
