It was not known how the young ninja convinced Snakes Eyes to take him under his tutelage. Some believed it was because the Arashikage ninja believed it was his responsibility to pass on the teachings of his clan.

Personality and attributes
He came to bear the clan tattoos of the Arashikage clan.
It was noted that he was more personable compared to his mentor.
Powers and abilities
He was trained by Snakes Eyes in over 10 forms of hand-to-hand combat. Among G.I. Joe, he was considered one of its most skilled fighters though he had yet to reach the level of his master.
Kamakura was versatile in the use of a katana and a kusari-gama alongside a standard issue M-4 assault rifle.
