History
The Men in Black were a secret organization devoted to policing and monitoring extraterrestrial activity on Earth. The Men in Black began as a government organization founded in the US in the mid-1950s, devoted to making contact with extraterrestrial life. They were seen as a joke, but finally did make contact on March 2, 1961, outside New York City.
It was decided to make Earth an apolitical zone for aliens without a planet, and the organization broke its government ties to become the Men in Black, which became the force to conceal and police the aliens that came to Earth. The founding members were the agents present at the landing, plus an amateur astronomer and a teenager who got lost going to see his girlfriend. This last became Kay, and one of the agents became Dee. The MiB has continued since then, with Zed as its senior agent, to protect the normal citizens of Earth from alien threats and police extraterrestrial immigrants, with notable members including Bee, Jay, and Elle.
Overview
All MiB agents sever every tie with their former lives, but these lives may be restored upon retirement, wherein they are neuralyzed and their memories of MiB erased. All agents dress in black business suits with Rayban sunglasses, and have access to a wide array of alien technologies for their missions. Note that not every member is a human- several aliens are part of the staff (or are just hanging around in headquarters).
The MiB are supported by the patents they hold on various confiscated alien innovations, including liposuction and velcro. Their standard operating day is based on Centaurian time, which lasts 37 hours, 16 of which an agent must spend on duty. Their main base is located at 504 Battery Drive in New York City.
The Statue of Liberty also fielded a large scale Neuralyzer that was able to affect the populace of the entirety of the city.

- Agent E : Gustave Eiffe was said to be one of the first MiB agents who placed a wormhole generator in the Eiffel Tower that led to the First Great Alien Migration to Earth.
- Chief X : a male head of the organization prior to the appointment of Zed.
- Chief Zed : a male who was the head of the organization and one of its founders.
- Agent O : a female veteran agent who came to head the organization after the demise of Zed.
- Agent K : Kevin Brown was a male human who was one of the founders of Men in Black's American branch.
- Agent J : James Darrell Edwards III was an African-American male who was an NYPD agent before he became inducted into the Men in Black organization.
- Agent L : Laurel Weaver was a dark haired woman who was a deputy chief examiner who was exposed to the idea of alien life where she became inducted in the Men in Black.
- High-T : male agent who worked with Agent H in stopping the Hive whereupon High-T became the head of the UK branch of the Men in Black.
- Agent H : Henry was a male agent who operated in the UK branch of Men in Black where he worked under High-T.
- Agent M : Molly Wright was a female Africa-American human who as a child saw an alien and managed to avoid being Neuralysed with her becoming aware of the Men in Black. By adulthood, she worked hard to gain entry into the organization where she finally was chosen and dispatched to the European branch.

Television
- In Men in Black: The Animated Series, the Men in Black featured in the animated television series. The Men in Black had bases in other locations, including one in the western United States (Zone 16) and one mobile undersea base. There were five founding members, who became Agent T, Dee, H, Q, and Kay. The race they met was known as the Baltians. Alpha was the first chief of the MiB- after he went rogue, Zed stepped in as the leader.
