In 2243, Lennon who headed the Anla'Shok had made repeated petitions to the Grey Council to prepare for the return of the Shadows. These had been ignored until finally he was brought before the Council to plead his case once more. Lenonn recounted Valen's prophecy and noted that the appointed time had come. Dukhat noted that the prophecy also stated that the Rangers will arise, so why not wait for that before asking the worker and warrior castes to commit resources. Indeed, Lenonn can only say he believes this to be true, but also adds that they should ally with the Vorlons. Coplann takes off his hood and interrupts – a dozen ships have tried and been lost when entering Vorlon space. Since they know the prophecy as well, why not wait for something to believe in. At this point, Delenn reveals herself and suggests this proof could be obtained by going to Z'ha'dum, thus verifying whether the Shadows truly have returned. Coplann objects to risking more warriors on the journey, and Dukhat agrees – he decides he and Delenn themselves will make the trip leading to their fleet departing in secret from Minbar. Following the death of Shai Alyt Bramner, the Star Rider clan decided to take a pilgrimage with his body that was headed back to Minbar. His death was considered a great sorrow to the warrior caste. Among their stops was the space station Babylon 5 where his body was kept under guard. However, the body was stolen leading to a diplomatic incident where Neroon of the warrior caste threatened war. It was discovered that in reality the body was taken by Delenn as she believed that Bramner did not desire such a funeral for himself and intended to fulfill his requests. (Episode: Legacies)

After the Grey Council was disbanded, the warrior caste removed the religious caste inhabitants from the city of Sikar and destroyed all their fliers. This forced the exiled inhabitants to walk into the cold wilderness of the polar region to the next city with many dying from the elements as a result. As a result, a member of the religious caste by the name of Forell sought out allies against the warrior caste with him seeking an alien race called the Drakh that had approached him. (Episode: Lines of Communication) The Worker Caste was caught in the middle. The war was also the first time in a thousand years that the Minbari fought amongst each other on a large scale. (Episode: Rumors, Bargains and Lies)

President Sheridan later made the journey to Minbar to the new capital for the Interstellar Alliance. After arriving, he attended his first event which was the unveiling the opening of a new power plant that had a revolutionary new power source. Unknown to him, the energy generated was made by tachyons and due to his own experience in time travel it resulted in Sheridan being untethered in time. This saw him being displaced across the timeline and even enter parallel realities until Delenn with the help of Zathras helped return him to his reality. (Movie: Babylon 5: The Road Home)
