Mr. 103 is a male comic supervillain who features in DC Comics.

Biography

Jonathan Dubrovny

He then re-invented himself as Mr. 104 and continued his criminal operations where he hired a number of henchmen with him crafting identities for them. One such minion he named Proton later surrendered to the police and was willing to testify against his boss. This forced Mr. 104 to intervene to stop his former lackey leading to an attack on the police in Metropolis where his actions drew the attention of Superman. To defeat his foe, Mr. 104 turned into Kryptonite allowing him to harm the Man of Steel. However, he could not capitalise on this attack as he was struck by Power Girl who joined the fight where she herself seemingly fell under the sway of the influence of Kryptonite. Despite this advantage, Superman managed to recover and used his heat vision to take out Mr. 104 from a distance forcing him to be captured by the authorities. (Superman v2 #189)

Overview

Personality and attributes

He then decided to take the name of Mr. 103 though was also referred to as the Atom Master and the Atomic Man due to his powers. (Doom Patrol v1 #98) Upon his return, he took the name Mr. 104 despite the fact that there were more than 104 known elements on the periodic table. (Superman v2 #189)

He was said to have had a nephew who was a big fan of Superman. (Superman v2 #189)

Powers and abilities

Other elements he could turn into included transmuting into plutonium that could explode if a bullet hit him. In another case, he could turn his entire body into Kryptonite that was deadly against Kryptonians. (Superman v2 #189)

Notes

  • Mr. 103 was created by Arnold Drake and Bruno Premiani where he made his first appearance in Doom Patrol v1 #98 (September, 1965).
