Biography

T-00 was a T-003 Tyrant-class BOW who came to be known as Mr. X and had been developed by the experiments of the Umbrella Corporation. He was created on Sheena Island on an island facility operated by the company that was known as the Tyrant Plant. To get rid of the high incompatibility ratio common among Tyrants, the T-103s were given an adrenal neurotransmitter taken from the Locus Ceruleus. Production continued until the Sheena Island facility was destroyed. Following the collapse of the UBCS, Umbrella's control over the outbreak in Raccoon City ended on the night of 26 September, and under Article 12 of Umbrella's Internal Emergency Procedures Col. Sergei Vladimir was given command of all remaining personnel. On the night of 29 September, T-00 and five other T-103 Tyrants were flown over the city in an SH-60B Seahawk to take part in new missions. While five were sent to Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A to fight the Delta Force operators present, T-00 was given two unique missions. Firstly, it was to eliminate any survivors in the Raccoon Police Station, which Umbrella could not verify had already fallen. Second, it was to locate a sample of the Golgotha Virus and return it to a designated pick-up point.

Umbrella came to deploy Mr. X to obtain a sample of the G-Virus after their Cleaners had failed to report back in. Silent and single-minded, X pursued his goal relentlessly, his enhanced strength and endurance allowing him to shrug off most conventional firepower. By this point most police officers had already mutated into Zombies, and T-00 encountered only a handful of survivors. According to some accounts, Mr. X was responsible for murdering the journalist Ben Bertolucci. While being temporarily incapacitated by the impact of a moving van and explosives detonated by Ada Wong. Mr. X was shown to have regenerated again, pursuing Leon into NEST, a secret Umbrella Corporation research facility. When the self-destruct sequence for NEST was triggered, he mutated into a Super Tyrant to attempt to kill Leon once and for all. Ada gives Leon a rocket launcher, allowing him to permanently kill Mr. X. A rocket launcher was capable of stunning him, but that was about it. Even plunging into molten metal did not kill him, causing him to instead mutate into an enormous clawed monstrosity similar in design to the original Tyrant. But the stress of this mutation weakened Mr. X considerably. Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy were able to use a rocket launcher, which was only capable of stunning X before, to blow the pesky B.O.W. into flaming body parts.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Mr. X was an enormous man with thinning white-blonde hair gray-green skin and wearing a large trenchcoat.

As a Tyrant, the T-00 displayed no emotions nor a sign of a soul. Instead, Mr. X ruthlessly and efficiently followed orders given with the T-00 being at times shown to have hints of a mind of its own.

When faced with a challenge or obstacle, while it does not speak, T-00 still coveys its own reaction, such as snapping its neck, and cracking its jaw and knuckles in a show of irritation and almost seeming to smile when it cornered their quarry.

While originally deployed with the mission of retrieving a sample of the G-Virus for its creators, a secondary objective being to eliminate any survivors it finds, T-00 would later seem to disobey its orders, choosing instead to pursue Leon due to the rookie officer continually managing to evade it.

Powers and abilities

Mr. X was a Tyrant T-103 (タイラント(T‐103型) tairanto (tī-wan-zero-surī-gata)?) that were a series of mass-produced human bio organic weapons (B.O.W.s). As such, he wasa modified clones of the T-002 Tyrant with the T-103 being the posthumous completion of the Tyrant Project's goal. As a T-103, Mr. X possessed intelligence close to that of normal humans, and could follow orders impossible for more primitive B.O.W.s. Consequently, this model of Tyrant were normally used as bodyguards or as assassins sent to hunt specific individuals. Thus, in this capacity, he served as an Umbrella agents sent to acquire important objects, and hard-muscle for tackling armed opposition.

Unlike most beasts infected and enhanced by the T-Virus, the Tyrant has a degree of self-awareness, and near-human intelligence. It was able to follow orders, with a understanding of its surroundings. While Zombies and other creatures wander about aimlessly, the Tyrant moves with purpose. When faced with a closed door, most creatures seem to not know how to open them and shall give up pursuit of targets, with Zombies rather clumsily throwing their weight against it in an attempt to force the door open. T-00 will instead open them much in the same way humans would. Also, it is able to tell the difference between Zombies and humans, for while it shall chase any uninfected person it sees, it will ignore Zombies, although it can at times be seen shoving them aside should one be blocking its path. Additionally, should a Zombie or some other enemy attack the player, T-00 will not intervene but instead look on and allow the enemy to try to kill the player for it, showing a sign of resourcefulness as well.

If its power limiting coat is lost and has suffered significant damage, T-00 will mutate into a less humanoid form with large claws and a slightly protruding heart. In this form, it can slash its enemies with its claws and move faster, though it is susceptible to explosives, much like the T-002 Tyrant from the first Resident Evil. If its exposed heart takes sufficient damage, it will be briefly stunned.
