History
Project Noah was an exploration initiative conducted by Earth which created a ship, Noah's Ark, to explore the galaxy through a wormhole near Mars. The ship would disappear when the wormhole collapsed and the ship became missing. It was believed that the project was a failure but was in fact was a success. The wormhole from Mars did indeed collapse, but Noah's Ark survived. It found a close Earth class planet and claimed it for humankind.
The Noah Colony fights as mercenaries for an advanced but pacifist alien race, called the Vardrags, whose technology was given to colonists, against another powerful race, the bloodthirsty, reptilian Gorgs, and a local group of renegade Vardrag elites, known as the Raptors.
Years would go by until a second mission was sent. Captain Marcus Cromwell was sent on this second expedition where his vessel arrived in an rea of space populated by unknown ships. It was discovered that these were Human starships and were descendants of Project Noah which had, in fact, survived and prospered in this new region of space.
After aiding successful raid against a Raptor base, Cromwell is enlisted to fight against the Gorg Empire. In fights against the Gorg, the Ghosts occasionally seem to help the Angelwing. However, all the races would soon find themselves facing their greatest threat: a virulent race of nanomachines called the Mechanoids. Nothing seems capable of stopping the Mechanoid invasion, and the Vardrag homeworld and Earth are overrun. Only an organic, insectile race, known as the energy-consuming Locusts, are immune to the Mechanoids. With technology adapted from the Locusts, Cromwell is able to rescue Earth and all the other solar systems and shut down the main control system of the Mechanoids, the Entity.
Cromwell and their crew eventually decide to eliminate the source of the mechanoids by heading to their home system, the Nexus. This system is not only home to a black hole but several other wormholes that connect to the home systems of all the other races. After a bitter struggle, they succeed, but Angel seemingly sacrifices herself to save the Angelwing and vanishes along with the Nexus.
Overview
In appearance, Project Noah was an interstellar expedition dispatched by humanity to explore a wormhole that had appeared within the Sol system. The wormhole collapsed and it was believed the ship dispatched was lost. In reality, the vessel had arrived elsewhere in the galaxy where it found an Earth-like world to colonise. The ship was converted and Project Noah established a colony in the system.
The Vardrag allied with the Noah colony in exchange for their superior war-making skills.
Noah colonists incorporate Vardrag technology into their ships. Through the Vardags, the Noah colonists came to develop artificial gravity onboard their vessels.
After colonizing the Earth type planet that will become Noah, Noah's Ark was transformed into Noah Colony. Several distinctions can be easily seen, including a new section and longer solar panels. The Noah's Ark held 500 settlers in stasis, plus also kept a million-strong gene pool in order to add genetic variety. The ship becomes the basis for the Noah station and is later turned into a museum. The majority of the Noah colonists still live aboard their space station, with the rest living in the only city on the habitable planet below.
