History
Shakuras was a dark world that existed within the Milky Way Galaxy. Long ago, it was visited by an ancient older extraterrestrial race known as the Xel'Naga who constructed a temple on its surface before departing the world. Many years later, a group of exiled Protoss known as the Dark Templars came upon the world. Typically, they were a nomadic people that moved from planet to planet but upon finding the Xel'Naga temple they decided to settle on Shakuras that was to become their new homeworld.
After the ravaging of Aiur, the remaining Protoss forces from that world evacuated to Shakuras, and began rebuilding their civilization.
