Android 19 (Japanese: 人造人間19号, Hepburn: Jinzōningen Jū Kyū-Gō, lit. "Artificial Human No. 19") (? - May 12, 767) was the penultimate creation of Dr. Gero, a completely loyal bodyguard android designed to replace the rebellious Android 17 and Android 18. The android was modeled after a doll decorating the command center of an enemy base, which Dr. Gero brought home as a trophy. When Dr. Gero decided to turn himself into Android 20 in order to become immortal, his brain was transplanted into his android body by Android 19.

After that, 19 and 20 went to fulfill the role in history Trunks had originally stated that 17 and 18 would fill- attacking a city on a small island, 9 miles southwest of South City, to attract the attention of Goku and company. 19 engaged the Super Saiyan personally, and was eventually victorious over him- thanks to a combination of the onset of Goku's heart virus and 19's absorbing one of Goku's Kamehameha attacks.
