His mother was noted to have had an affair with a politician and ruined his career. This allowed her to start her own career where she began appearing in a jeans ad and posed for a penthouse. During her brief period of fame, she came to be pregnant and gave birth to her son Brandon. She then looked to find the richest candidate she could find and claimed that she was the mother of their child. Instead of marrying her, the person paid her off with his mother using up most of the money as she grew older. By that point, she had faded from public image with no one giving her attention. It was then she found a new way of entering into the spotlight which was through her son Brandon. She hired a manager called '''Rick''' and had Brandon take part in acting classes in order for him to become a celebrity. Brandon never liked Rick but his mother refused to listen to her son and believed that the manager's connections would make them famous again. One day, Brandon was sent with Rick in a limo where the manager attempted to rape the young boy. It was in that moment that his electrical powers first manifested and he was rescued from Rick where he was taken to the hospital with his mother rushing to his side. Brandon felt that she lied to the doctor about where his powers came from but noticed that she was regretful for not believing her son regarding Rick. Hugging her son, she vowed to love him and to take better care of him from this point onwards. This became the start of his career at being a superhero where he used his powers to perform at monster truck shows and state affairs. Brandon tried to operate as a crime fighter but he found it as a big waste of time. Sharpe's mother later attempted to have him join the [[New Warriors]] reality television show but he was denied entry due to being too young and later joined 'Who Wants To Be a [[Thunderbolts (Marvel)|Thunderbolt]]'. He later met [[Norman Osborn]] who took interest in the young boy's powers and potential. The man never tortured Brandon and instead gave him everything he wanted with Sharpe eventually growing bored with this life. He attempted to kill [[Reptil]] though his comrade formed armoured plates that protected him from harm. This led to the inaugural class of the Avengers Academy being revealed to the world and hailed as heroes. Afterwards, an ecstatic Veil wanted to reveal their debut to Vance Astrovik who was with his girlfriend [[Ultragirl]].
