Yuga Khan is a male comic supervillain deity that features in DC Comics.

Biography
Origin
Yuga Khan was an ancient deity that emerged from the ranks of the New Gods prior to the formation of Apokolips and New Genesis. He rose to power as the first leader of Apokolips and drained the last vestiges of humanity from its lands. In that time, he regularly spoke to Izaya of New Genesis in order to ponder on the destruction of the Old Gods. In time, he launched himself past all barriers of reality straining to reach a world where he might learn the secret of the Source. It was said that ever since his imprisonment that no one since Yuga Khan attempted to challenge the Source Wall. Afterwards, Khan became a part of history and was equated to the stories of the Old Gods. With his loss, he was succeeded by Darkseid who became the new ruler of Apokolips. (New Gods v3 #19)
The New 52
Following the Flashpoint, a new timeline was created with a different history of events. Yuga Khan was shown as being the father of Izaya and Uxas though he favored the former as his heir. (Infinity Man and the Forever People v1 #5) He became a deity of evil that cast large swathes across the cosmos until he was challenged by his son. (Justice League - Darkseid War: Shazam v1 #1) However, Izaya would side with his brother in fulfilling the prophecy that spoke of the end of the reign of the Old Gods with Uxas murdering them. Inside Khan resided the power of Anti-Life, and on the Final Day he had resurrected the slain Old Gods as his army against his sons but Uxas would kill his father. With his demise came the true end of the Old Gods and the birth of the New Gods. (Infinity Man and the Forever People v1 #5) Though slain, his essence was returned to the Source where he remained and sought his return. Similar to his son, he had adopted a new name where he came to be called Zonuz. (Justice League - Darkseid War: Shazam v1 #1)
By the modern day, a cult had formed amongst the New Gods that grew dissatisfied with the constant state of warfare between Highfather and Darkseid. These New Gods came to believe that the conflict between New Genesis and Apokolips had killed more of their kind than the Olds Gods had in their time. Thus, this cult came to believe that the only means of saving their kind rested in Yuga Khan. (Infinity Man and the Forever People v1 #5) Following the death of Darkseid, the pantheon that empowered Billy Batson as Shazam became disrupted forcing the Wizard to seek replacements. Among those deities he sought being himself Mamaragan, Ate, Zonuz, Anapel, H'ronmeer and S'ivaa. This saw Yuga Khan as Zonuz use this venue as a means of escape and intended to return to the mortal world in order to bring death along with destruction by taking his fallen son Darkseid's throne. Zonuz battled the Wizard and sought to claim the power for himself leading to a fight with Shazam who defeated him. (Justice League - Darkseid War: Shazam v1 #1)
Overview
Personality and attributes
Khan stated he had no intention to die and believed that an end to expansion meant one had to die in the process. As such, he considered himself a dreamer whilst Izaya of New Genesis was merely content to survive. His goal was to become the most powerful being in the universe. He considered the very act of attempting to change his mind as being some form of heresy. It was said that he was destroyed by his own lust for power. (New Gods v3 #19)
He concluded that the only being in existence that remotely approached his power was his own son Darkseid. Khan believed that a son would never kill his father which was why he dismissed Darkseid as a threat to him. After his imprisonment, he was considered powerful in the past but irrelevant in the present day. (New Gods v3 #19)
