Around 17 years ago, the Second War of Liberation began where the French had returned but were on the side of the rebels this time. (Marvels v2 #1)

By 12 years ago, the Sin-Cong War had raged for several years where the American presence had grown from a few hundred 'observers' to thousands of troops. (Marvels v2 #1)

The Sin-Cong province was a hot spot of political turmoil where the Mandarin once had the C.I.A.'s presence in the nation eliminated in order to end their influence on its non-democratic regime. (Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin v1 #3)

Overview

In appearance, Sin-Cong was a country situated on China's southern border where it was next to Vietnam and Laos. (Marvels v2 #3) The name Sin-Cong was a Romanization with the original word being 'sinh canh' which meant 'habitat' but was also reputedly 'sinh khung' which roughly meant 'to give birth to madness'. (Marvels v2 #1)

  • Thoat Nhin : the capital city of the nation. In recent years, the capital of Siancong had swiftly become a modern metropolis where it became a business hub in petrochemicals and agricultural goods with it boasting top-notch schools, art communities and more. (Marvels v2 #2)
