Events

  • Lord of the Rings: c. 5118 BC (III 1944). The Wainriders attack Gondor with the armies of Khand and Harad by their side. In the resulting battle, Ondoher, king of Gondor and father of Firiel, dies with his two sons. Earnil II defeats the invaders at southern Ithilien. At the Battle of the Camp, the Wainriders and their allies are defeated. [Arvedui] claims the kingship of Gondor in the wake of Ondoher's death. (The Return of the King)
