In the Third Era of Ragnarok, a Frost Giant came to disguise himself as a mason and offered to repair a great hole in the wall of the city of Asgard in a year and in exchange he wanted the Enchantress's hand in marriage. At first, the gods were outraged at this proposal but Loki made a counteroffer where he told the mason to complete the task in six years as he believed the feat could not be achieved as the worker was only allowed his tool and steed to help him. Nearing six months, the mason was set to complete his task with this infuriating the All-Father Odin who demanded that Loki insure that he failed in his task. In desperation, Loki came to change into a mare that distracted the mason's steed thus preventing him from completing the wall and voiding the agreement. The mason suspected that he had been cheated of his victory and transformed into his true Frost Giant form as he intended to kill the Asgardians for their treachery as he had desired the Enchantress. Later in the Eleventh Era of Ragnarok, as Idunn she was tending the Golden Apples when she was approached by Loki following his exile. He informed her that he had sighted apples of gold in another realm and convinced her to travel to collect them. Through the Bifrost, he took her to a frozen mountain where h said resided the apples but this turned out to be a trick as he made a deal with a Frost Giant who had desired Idunn for himself. Thus, she became an unwilling bride in his harem and her disappearance was noted in Asgard as she was the only person able to collect the golden apples that maintained the immortal lives of the gods. Heimdall came to reveal that he had sighted Loki with Idunn the last time before her disappearance with the All-Father demanding the trickster god rectify his actions. Thus, Loki travelled to the mountain once again and freed Idunn where the two attempted to flee the Frost Giant only to be captured in the pursuit. The pair were saved by the timely intervention of Thor who was convinced by Odin to rescue Idunn.
