Biography
Kougyoku Ren (練 紅玉, Ren Kōgyoku) was a female human who was the daughter of Koutoku Ren where she was part of the royal family of the Kou Empire. Her mother was but a lowly courtesan whose name was unknown leading to Kougyoku being considered of lowborn status though part of the Royal Family. Her father later ascended to the throne following the death of his brother with Kougyoku becoming the eight Imperial Princess of the empire. Initially, she spent time alone and struggled in social interaction as she had no friends where she was forgotten by everyone and felt out of place. When she was 9 years old, the Imperial Palace dispatched an administrative assistant to serve her with this being Koubun Ka alongside his two aides. The shy Kouguoku could not speak to her assistant but he forced her to recognise her status as princess of the Kou. Kougyoku though believed that he was trying to be her friend and she accepted this offer where she worked harder in fulfilling her duties as the youngest daughter of the Emperor. During this time, she met her older half-brother Kouen Ren and the Kou's Magi Judar where the two acknowledged her as a King Vessel with her giving a position as a warrior of the empire. Kougyoku was later responsible for capturing the 45th Dungeon where she obtained a Djin named Vinea with this being achieved with the help of her assistant Koubun Ka.
