History

Metamorphae were beings that were born of mortal clay and gifted with the ability to control the elements of Earth. According to legend, their creation was dated to the time of the Egyptian god Ra who was the sun deity. He created the Metamorphae to serve as his agents in his never-ending war against the serpent god Apep. Since that time, there have been several Metamorphae that had operated across history. Their lifespan was unknown though one of their kind was noted to had lived for thousand years until his demise in a volcano. All Metamorphae were Humans that had been transformed to serve as warriors and had the ability to shapeshift and change into any element found within the human body or any other combination. Death of the Endless told Element Girl that the god Apep died 3,000 years ago and had even informed Ra of this fact. However, the Egyptian sun god continued to create Metamorphae regardless of this issue.
