In 2366, contact was lost with the New Providence colony with Starfleet suspecting a possible Borg sighting. This saw the U.S.S. Enterprise investigating the planet where they confirmed a Borg presence. (TNG: The Best of Both Worlds)

Overview

The day-to-day operations of the service were managed by Starfleet Command that was led by the commander in chief. (Movie: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

Annually, there was a gathering of Starfleet admirals alongside other officers with these attending the Admirals' Banquet where they discussed various topics of interest. (TNG: Phantasms)

Another facility was located on Mars with this being the Starfleet Technical Services Academy. (TNG: Eye of the Beholder)

  • In Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force, Starfleet appeared in the setting of the video game with the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager. To survive in the Delta Quadrant, the crew established an elite fighting unit called the Hazard Team.
  • In Star Trek: Elite Force II, Starfleet appeared in the setting of the video game sequel. Upon the U.S.S. Voyager's return, Starfleet formally adopted the use of Hazard Teams as part of a ship's complement.
