Sio Bibble
Sio Bibble was the governor of Naboo during the final years of the Old Republic. He oversaw all matters that were brought to the attention of Queen Amidala and was the head of the Queen's Advisory Council. When the Trade Federation fleet blockaded Naboo and began disrupting communications, it was Governor Bibble who presaged the invasion by Federation forces despite Captain Panaka's insistence that the Federation would risk losing their trade franchise.
When Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived to rescue the Queen and take her to Coruscant, Bibble remained behind on Naboo to ensure that their people would not lose hope. He suffered great indignity at the hands of Nute Gunray, who taunted the Governor mercilessly. Gunray would eventually force Bibble to send a transmission to the Queen's starship trying to persuade her to return.
After the liberation of Naboo, Bibble attended the funeral of Qui-Gon Jinn, and at the subsequent celebration ceremony he accepted the Globe of Peace from the Gungan leader, Boss Nass. Several years later, Bibble remained in office under Queen Jamillia even after Queen Amidala had gone on to take Senator Palpatine's place as Naboo's senator. After Amidala's death, Governor Bibble attended her funeral on Naboo.
