Biography
Funny Valentine (Japanese: ファニー・ヴァレンタイン, Hepburn: Fanī Varentain) was a male human born on September 20, 1847 in an altered version of Earth. He was born a citizen of the United States of America where in his childhood he had high respect for justice and his own father who served in the army. When he was a child, his father went to war and never came back. One day, a soldier named Captain Valentine to his home and told the family that his father was captured by the enemy. After resisting intense torture, he committed suicide in order not to betray his country. The soldier also gave Funny a handkerchief that belonged to their father and husband that had the date and birth of Funny on it , revealing that his father kept it with him during all the torture he endured and kept it placed in his eye to avoid it being taken. From that point on, Funny kept the handkerchief with him at all times as a symbol of his and his father's undying loyalty to their country. He retained a handkerchief which Captain Valentine then gave to Funny. At a later point in time, Funny's mother would remarry to Captain Valentine, making him Funny's stepfather and granting Funny the 'Valentine' surname. By adulthood, he came to join the army himself where he was assigned to the 26th Calvary Unit. One day, they went missing in the Arizona desert during a training exercise. With the exception of Valentine, the whole unit died out due to either exhaustion or dehydration. After his company perished, Valentine found himself trapped in the desert where he came to be exhausted and collapsed. After passing out, he he fell onto the site of the Corpse's Heart and was rescued shortly afterwards where he reasoned that his life was saved due to the Corpse's power and he inferred the existence of a complete Corpse. He attributed his rescue onto the Corpse's Heart and set out to find the remaining pieces.

A ruthless individual, he believed in might-makes-right attitude toward the world.
Powers and abilities
Funny Valentine was a human who according to his wife made no sound when he walked and was said to be capable of playing the mandolin using his feet simply dancing on it. He gained the ability to produce a Stand (スタンド Sutando) that was a visual manifestation of his life force. This external spirit took the form of a humanoid being called Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (ダーティー・ディーズ・ダン・ダート・チープ Dātī Dīzu Dan Dāto Chīpu). Also known as D4C (ディー・フォー・シー Dī Fō Shī), it looked like a thin, robotic humanoid form with large, upright horns and a masked mandible along with a light body lined by an almost unbroken seam or trim. As a Stand User (スタンド使い Sutando Tsukai), he gained a unique power that allowed him access at any time to any number of alternate worlds/universes/dimensions. If desired, he could swap bodies with his counterparts that granted him pseudo-immortality.
He had a number of henchmen serving his needs with these being known as Valentine's Subordinates (ヴァレンタイン の 部下 Varentain no Buka). These consisted entirely of government employees that became Stand users who loyally served him.
