- 1947: Real World - A monarchist government is established in Greece by Demetrios Maximos.
- 1961: Real World - A B-52 bomber crashes near Goldsboro, North Carolina. The crash has no significant effect on the two nuclear bombs aboard.
- 1972: Real World - Shoichi Yokoi, a Japanese soldier, is discovered in Guam. He was posted there 28 years prior, during World War II.
- 1984: Real World - Apple releases the first Macintosh computers for sale.
