King Earnur of Gondor leads a fleet to Lindon, but is too late to save the North-Kingdom. At the Battle of Fornost, the Witch-King of Angmar is defeated, and driven North. (The Return of the King)
- Lord of the Rings: c. 5086 BC (III 1976). Aranarth becomes chieftain of the Dunedain; Arnor's heirlooms are given to Elrond. (The Return of the King)
