Adityas

In the Hindu religion, the Adityas are a group of twelve sun deities: Ansa, Aryman, Bhaga, Daksha, Dhatri, Indra, Mitra, Ravi, Savitri, Surya, Varuna, and Yama. The children of Aditi and Kasyapa, there were originally only seven or eight, but the group was expanded to 12 members during the Vedic period to match the 12 months of the year.
