Baron Draxum was a male mutant Yōkai that was native to the underground Hidden City.

Around 13 years ago, he was noted to had attended a match at the Battle Nexus in the city. Once there, he witnessed the reigning champion being a human warrior named Lou Jitsu who had incredible fighting skill. Draxum then decided to use the human's DNA as a basis for creating a army by using Ooze to mutate animals. As part his experiments, four ordinary turtles were exposed to the mutagen turning them into Mutants but before Baron Draxum could gather them the laboratory was destroyed by Lou Jitsu alongside the rest of the research work. Thus, the Baron lost the products of his experiments and spent years attempting to recreate his work.

He later formed an alliance with the Foot Clan after they two sides determined their common enemy were the Turtles. This led to Draxum being given the Kuroi Yōroi in order to repair it under the belief that he would be given it upon completion.

Having lost his powers, he was left bereft on the streets of the human city when he was discovered by Michelangelo who felt sorry for the Yokai and decided to help him. He decided to get the former villain an apartment and attempted to cheer him up. Unknown to anyone, Michelangelo provided a residence for Draxum in an apartment above April O'Neil who came to notice increased disturbance from the place. The noise from Draxum's apartment later attracted the attention of Raphael who was shocked to find Draxum at the residence with the rest of the turtles uncovering this fact. An angry Draxum did not want help and stormed out from his apartment where he was confronted by enforcers from the Council of Heads from the Hidden City who had declared the baron to be a war criminal to be tried for his crimes. The turtles ultimately decided to help Draxum after Michelangelo convinced them that they should help the man who had actually created them. During their battle, Draxum attempted to flee but was nearly caught by his pursuers though he was saved by the turtles. Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Baron Draxum was a large muscular humanoid with feline feats with deep turquoise fur along with bright orange eyes whilst he had dark teal faun-like legs that had cloven hooves. In the past, he tended to wear armour that consisted of a blue face mask with gold horns from either side along with gauntlets.

He was shown having no sense of compassion for others such as his experiment on a human pizza delivery man. When he conducted his experiment on him, he noted that the transformation would hurt if it was done correctly.

Draxum believed that his kind deserved to flourish whilst mankind should go extinct. In fact, he consulted ancient prophecy that spoke of a greater threat to his people and their way of life. He came to believe that this threat was mankind and was content to perform mass destruction against this foe.

Upon seeing the Mutant Turtles, he became fixated on them as being the height of his research. During a fight with them, he found that they fought like infants and could benefit from further training.

Powers and abilities

He was described as being an alchemist warrior skilled in the ability to manipulate life.

On his shoulders were two diminutive creatures that served as minions called Huginn and Muninn. They spoke to him and could detach in order to fight his foes or capture specimens for his research.

As an alchemist, he was accomplished in the art of mutation. He was responsible for breeding special kinds of insectile mosquitoes that were filled with mutagenic Ooze. These Oozesquitoes were able to inject the substance into humans causing them to undergo mutation and being half-animal hybrids.

Draxum operated from his laboratory from within the Hidden City where he conducted his experiments.
