Bio-Morphic Reproduction

The process of bio-morphic reproduction, as witnessed by Optimus Prime.

Bio-morphic reproduction was a method of reproduction granted by Primus to the Transformers in the early days of their race. This method works by "budding" one new Transformer from the body of another. Primus eventually removed the memory of this method, since too many generations of bio-morphic reproduction diluted the morality of the "offspring." However, a faction of Decepticons of which Lord Jhiaxus was a part remembered the process, using it to create the Second Generation Decepticons, but also creating the Swarm as a side effect.
