Bludgeon was a deadly warrior who modelled himself on the Ultimate Warrior, a legendary figure who was a flawed remembrance of the Last Autobot. He held more mystical views of the world than most Transformers.

Bludgeon gradually assumed leadership of the Decepticons following the death of Scorponok. Bludgeon eventually constructed the Warworld, and led his forces to Earth to seize the Creation Matrix from Optimus Prime. However, he was interrupted by Megatron, who reclaimed control of the Decepticons by slaying Bludgeon.
