Pre-Crisis

Copperhead

His first recorded adventure came when he disguised himself as an old man and attempted to steal the tiara from a wealthy dignitary visiting Gotham City. This earned him the attention of Gotham's guardian, Batman, but Copperhead succeeded in stealing the tiara and evading capture. Batman teamed up with Batgirl and Wonder Woman to set a trap for Copperhead using the Golden Casque of Montezuma as bait. Copperhead encountered the heroes, but once again managed to escape. Soon after, he succeeded in capturing Wonder Woman at Gotham Park and brought her back to his lair. Batman and Batgirl tracked him down, rescued Wonder Woman, and Copperhead was arrested. Post-Crisis

Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Jane Doe

Two-Face placed a large bounty on Batman's head that many super-villains and mercenaries intended to collect, including Copperhead. Alongside several other villains Copperhead tracked down the Bat to a active train. Climbing on board the train Copperhead attempted to kill Batman but he was able to escape by jumping into a flowing stream. (All-Star Batman v1 #2)

  • The concept of Copperhead was created by Bob Haney and Bob Brown where it made its first appearance in the Brave and the Bold v1 #78 (July, 1968).

Films

  • In Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Copperhead appeared in the setting of the animated film where he was voiced by actor Gideon Emery. This version was named Sameer Park who was a cyborg metahuman contortionist with a prehensile tail and metal jaw capable of spitting acidic venom. He was recruited into Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad and tasked with retrieving a "Get Out of Hell Free" card for her. During the mission, Killer Frost betrayed the team and nearly escaped with the card, but Copperhead fought her until Waller detonated a bomb implanted in his neck to keep the squad in line, killing him and Killer Frost.
