Biography
Darth Maul was a male Zabrak who was born on the planet Dathomir where he was part of the Nightbrothers. He came to be trained as a Sith Lord and master of the Dark Side of the Force where he served his master Darth Sidious. The extremely skilled Maul was sent to assassinate Queen Amidala of Naboo, but was stopped by Qui-Gon Jinn. He tracked them back to Naboo, and Darth Maul faced Jinn in single combat. Maul was victorious, slaying Jinn, but Jinn's student Obi-Wan Kenobi attacked him in a rage, and brought about his demise.

- Darth Maul was created by George Lucas and was portrayed by actor Ray Park where he made his first appearance in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

- In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Darth Maul made a minor appearance in the setting of the video game. He was part of a training program within PROXY who used his holographic disguise to take on Darth Maul's appearance that was used to help in combat training for his master Starkiller.
