History
The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad were an assassination team that were created by the man called Bill. The DiVAS made millions of dollars during the course of their assignments.
After discovering she was pregnant, Beatrix Kiddo quietly left the vipers. Beatrix intended to settle down and start a new life in El Paso, Texas. Upon learning she was still alive, Bill tracked her down and ordered the remaining vipers to storm the chapel and kill everyone except Beatrix. Each of the four beat the helpless Beatrix and stood over her body, while Bill approached Beatrix and shot her in the head.
They later broke up shortly after they betrayed Beatrix whom years later hunted down every last one of them on a mission of revenge.
Overview
In appearance, the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (or DiVAS for short) were a small group of elite assassins. The Codenames of all members but Bill are the names of snakes.
Members
- Bill : the leader Codename Snake Charmer, was romantically involved with Beatrix Kiddo, and the father of B.B. Kiddo. Shot Beatrix, yet was murdered by her four years later.
- Beatrix Kiddo : Codename Black Mamba who was also Bill's former lover. Faked her death and almost married Tommy Plympton in El Paso, Texas. Was shot (in the head) and left for dead by Bill, yet woke up after a four-year coma, discovering her daughter was delivered during her coma.
- O-Ren Ishii : Codename Cottonmouth, former leader of the Tokyo crime world. Best friend of Sofie Fatale, and the unofficial leader of the Crazy 88 and Gogo Yubari. Murdered by Beatrix.
- Vernita Green : Codename Copperhead, left the Squad sometime after the massacre, and married Lawrence Bell, with whom she had a daughter. Vernita was tracked down by Beatrix four years after the massacre, and was murdered in front of Nikki's eyes.
- Budd : Codename Sidewinder who was also Bill's brother. Owned a Hattori Hanzō sword given to him by Bill. Lived in Barstow, California and worked at a strip club. He was killed when Elle's Black Mamba bit him several times on the face causing him to stop breathing from venom induced paralysis.
- Elle Driver : Codename California Mountain Snake who also came to be Bill's lover. Lost her eye to Pai Mei, whom she later poisoned. Murdered Budd with her Black Mamba, yet was left for dead by Beatrix a short time later, after losing her second eye.

- The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad were created by Quentin Tarantino where they featured in the setting of the Kill Bill universe.
