Dean (also known as the Wingnut Strangler, Death-Hug Dean and, perhaps most bizarrely, the Butterfly Nutcase) was an enormous thug with a wingnut screw for a head given to Chairface Chippendale as a birthday present by the Man Who Looks Like Peter Lorre. Described as having the strongest hands in the criminal world, Dean won his new boss' approval by crushing a diamond into dust with one hand ("Oh! I like him!") and even came close to killing the Tick by grabbing and squishing his head. Despite being defeated when the Tick unscrewed his head, Dean survived and continued to serve Chairface faithfully.
