Dietz

Dietz was Captain von Schoenvorts' first mate aboard the German submarine U-33 during World War I. Although initially Dietz was almost fanatically loyal to von Schoenvorts and had a great deal of respect for him, he soon began to lose faith in his captain once von Schoenvorts began willingly cooperating with Bowen Tyler and the British sailors during their time in Caprona. Ultimately, Dietz betrayed von Schoenvorts, shooting him and attempting to escape Caprona during a volcanic eruption by foolishly ordering the U-33 to submerge in the boiling hot lake, leaving Bowen Tyler and Lisa Clayton behind. Bradley shot and killed Dietz before the sub exploded.
