Dom'Kavash

The Dom'Kavash are an elder race that feature in the game Freelancer.

History

Studies into their reign did not indicate that they died from war, disease or a natural cataclysm but instead that they simply vanished from known space. They left behind many technologically advanced artifacts behind along with the Nomads that were programmed as caretakers who repelled any invaders in their territory.

Overview

To control a vast empire, the Dom'Kavash did not rely on ordinary space travel means such as the use of Trade Lanes but instead used a network of Hypergates. Each gate was linked to another one in the network that allowed vessels to move from one system to another extremely quickly.
