Origin
Donna Troy
During her early career, one villain encountered by the Teen Titans was the Bogeyman whose power to feed off the negative emotions from children were used against them. He managed to defeat the young heroes but Donna's strong will allowed her to break free from his control. Eventually, the villains actions led to the death of three kids in an orphanage with him being imprisoned for life. (Justice League of America v2 #49)

She came to learn that Duela Dent was killed and came to the former Titan's grave to mourn her. In that time, she was approached by Jason Todd who revealed that Duela's killer had been hunting individuals that he believed were not native to that universe. Thus, he concluded that both himself and Donna Troy were potential targets of this alien being. (Countdown v1 #48)
The three were transported to Keystone City where they attended the funeral of Bart Allen who had died whilst being the Flash. During this time, Donna had to settle various arguments between the Monitor and Jason Todd as the former had recruited the two into finding Ray Palmer who was missing within the Nanoverse. (Countdown v1 #43) They went to Ivy Town to the university in order to recruit the aid of Ryan Choi who agreed to take them into the microscopipc Palmerverse. (Countdown v1 #42) The new Atom shrunk his comrades and guided them into the microscopic reality until they arrived on a world. (Countdown v1 #41) They were beset upon by humanoid alien natives who were allies to Palmer and had mistakenly believed Donna along with her comrades were his enemies. (Countdown v1 #40)
Afterwards, Donna simply wanted to get more control over her life and had little interest in being a superhero. This was until she helped stop a criminal at Mercy Hospital and came to be convinced by Wonder Woman to continue being a hero. (Justice League of America v2 #41) She joined others in battling Doctor Impossible who along with his minions was gathered mysterious relics from around the world. Though unable to apprehend him, the heroes gathered together to form a new incarnation of the Justice of America. (Justice League of America v2 #43) She aided the new formed Justice League in battling the threat of the Starheart that had taken over Alan Scotts body and caused various magically linked to run amok around the world. The heroes teamed up with the Justice Society along with the newly returned Jade in attacking the lunar based fortress. Together, they managed to help Jade free her father from the Starheart's control thus ending the threat. (Justice League of America v2 #48) She responded to a call from Alcatraz when the Bogeyman wanted to see her where his enhanced powers allowed him to invade Donna and Jade's mind until Troy had them working together to defeat the villain. Afterwards, she asked Jade if they would like to share an accommodation and work together as photographers. (Justice League of America v2 #49)

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

- Donna Troy was created by Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani where she made her first appearance in Brave and the Bold v1 #60 (July, 1965).
Alternate Versions
- In Countdown v1 #30 (2007), an alternate version of Donna was shown to had existed in the Multiverse in one incarnation of Earth-15. Donna on this world came to inherit the mantle of Wonder Woman and replaced her mentor in the role.

- In Titans, Donna Troy appeared in the live-action television series starting in the episode "Donna Troy" where she was portrayed by actor Conor Leslie.
- In Young Justice, Troia appeared in the setting of the animated television series third season in the episode "Royal We" where she was voiced by actor Grey DeLisle. She was shown as the Amazonian ambassador from Themyscira who represented her people at the United Nations.
Film
- In Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, Donna Troy appeared in a non-speaking cameo appearance in the end credit sequence of the animated film. She was shown as the newest member of the Teen Titans who had replaced the recently deceased Terra.
