Biography
Ermes Costello (Japanese: エルメェス・コステロ, Hepburn: Erumēsu Kosutero) was a female human born in 1990 with her father being of a Mexican immigrant to North America and she had an older sister named Gloria Costello who was 10 years older than her. In her youth, she lived in the slums where her family managed a restaurant which her sister a came to inherit when she was 20 years old. The young Ermes provided no assistance to her sister who managed events by herself. By the time she was 17 years old, Ermes had a strained relationship with Gloria who wanted her siblings help at the restaurant. However, Ermes wanted a sports scholarship in order to go to college instead. One night, the sisters had an argument which led to Ermes running off into the city. Whilst there, she came upon a fight amongst gangsters where she witnessed Sports Maxx kill someone. Unfortunately, she came to be spotted when she attempted to run away. Ermes managed to escape but unknown to her Gloria was looking for her leading to her sister uncovering the incident. This led to Sports Maxx's arrest and to save Ermes from exposure Gloria decided to testify for the murder. However, police negligence resulted in them failing to protect her and Gloria was ultimately killed. As a result, Ermes lost not only her sister but all her possessions as a result. Due to lack of proof, Sports Maxx was sentenced to no more than 5 years imprisonment. Such news came to anger Ermes who swore revenge where she willingly and repeatedly committed armed robbery in order to be arrested. This was with the intention of being sent to the Green Dolphin Street Prison which was where Sports Maxx was being kept after being sent to jail.
She first met Jolyne Cujoh when they were held in momentary captivity next to each other. Annoyed by the constant banging of Jolyne's head, -due to her humuliation earlier that day- she yelled at her to pipe down. She was amazed to hear Jolyne confess her innocence to her crime and admired her honesty. On their way to J.G. Prison, Hermes warned Jolyne to get her hands on cash as bribery was the quickest way to escape 'prison life'. In return, Jolyne saved Hermes from a brutal beating using her newly awakened Stand. Although not cell mates, the two have remained somewhat close to each other ever since. While in prison, Ermes used money as a medium so when the janitor, Thunder McQueen, stole her money, she pursued him after being in the infirmary six times for a fever. Once she encountered the janitor, she learned that he was severely suicidal and due to his own Stand, Highway to Hell, she was forced to encounter similar experiences whenever he attempted it. While she saved him from the attempts on multiple occasions, he still found means to kill himself but not before she split his skull using Kiss, resulting in McQueen being incapacitated and his Stand's hold on Ermes nullifying. She later volunteered as part of a search group with Jolyne and four others in order to find two lost inmates. In their search, they encounter Whitesnake's stash of isolated Stand Discs and Foo Fighters, who was designated to protect the Discs. After a hard-fought battle, F.F. was liberated of its duties and pledged allegiance to the two.
The following days included an encounter with the gambler Miraschon who bet on a game of catch. Ermes persuades Jolyne to agree to the bet before Miraschon made another bet for more money. The new bet enticed Costello to not only agree but to put herself into the bet so she could get the thousand dollars. Ermes lost the bet and found herself at the mercy of Miraschon's Stand, Marilyn Manson, who took her gold tooth, money from her surgically-altered breasts, and her liver. Jolyne eventually wins the liver and money back from Miraschon. Ermes remained in intensive medical care after her battle with Sports Maxx and does not appear again until Jolyne escapes from prison. She was one of the final members in the last battle against Enrico Pucci and dies in the struggle. All of her comrades, including herself, were left floating in the sea as they rot from Pucci's accelerated time effects.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Ermes Costello was a woman of above-average height and a fit, medium build. She wears her hair in braided locks and multiple barrettes and has long, triangular scars approaching her eyes and lips on her forehead and chin.
Hermes is very prideful and loyal, preferring to act and think later.
She has a good sense of justice but punishes violently for any cross that comes her way.
Ermes shows a severe sense of resilience, as she was still on her feet and moving around even after Marilyn Manson took her liver and survived the shared experiences of suicide attempts from Thunder McQueen. She has a good sense of justice, yet violently punishes anybody who crosses her way.
Ermes is a particularly rude woman. She speaks in a familiar tone, uses curse words frequently, and is quite violent, having a short temper leading to her frequently shouting in anger at people. Moreover, Ermes is also ready to commit violent acts, for instance wanting to kill Sports Maxx for killing her sister and being brutal when she fights others.
Powers and abilities
Ermes Costello was born an ordinary human being with no special inherent abilities. By adulthood, she was known to had surgically altered her breasts in order to be able to hide money from their sides.
Kiss (キッス kissu) A humanoid like Stand covered in stickers depicting a women's lips. Releases stickers (seals in Japanese) that will duplicate an item perfectly for as long as the sticker is on it. When the sticker falls off, the original item and the duplicate will smash together and violently combust. Objects that are able to duplicate also include body parts and people. Hermes receives this stand after Guess gives her Jolyne's amulet that she had picked up. She discovers it during her first medical care visit in prison.
