Fedora

Fedora was an adventurous archaeologist and raider of tombs. He encountered Indiana Jones when Indy was a young boy, when Fedora and his men (Roscoe, Half Breed and Rough Rider) were on a mission to acquire the Cross of Coronado for Panama Hat. Indy, believing that the cross belong in a museum, stole it from Fedora, but they later reclaimed it. Impressed, Fedora gave Indy his trademark fedora.

In earlier drafts of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Fedora was actually Indiana Jones' mentor Abner Ravenwood.
