History
Origin
Sometime after their death, Dirk Greystone who had joined Haly's Circus had convinced Mr. Haly to allow himself, his wife and his stepdaughter Linda Gray to reuse the name of the Flying Graysons for their acrobatic performance. This was on account that the name would attract people to attend the event with Mr. Haly agreeing to the idea. They set up outside the campus of Hudson University for their one week performance that would have included the act of the new Flying Graysons. In reality, Greystone had intended for his wife and stepdaughter to die in the act in a tragedy similar to the original Flying Graysons. This was so that their deaths would propel him to fame as he grew tired of small scale performances in the circus. The plot was discovered by Robin who helped apprehend Dirk Greystone leading to his arrest. (Detective Comics v1 #484)
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

- The Flying Graysons were created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger where they made their first appearance in Detective Comics v1 #38 (April, 1940).

- In Young Justice, the Flying Graysons were briefly seen in the setting of the animated television series in the episode "Performance".
- In Gotham the Flying Graysons appeared in the setting of the live-action television series where they were shown in the episode "The Blind Fortune Teller". They were shown as being a family of acrobats that included brothers Alphonse Grayson and John Grayson.
