History
The Fringe Division was a special branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigations after a series of incidents around the world involving fringe science began appearing which became known as The Pattern. The head of this organization was Phillip Broyles of Homeland Security who assembled a team to handle such cases and worked in conjunction with leading scientific company Massive Dynamics to combat this unknown threat to the world.
Sanford Harris after being cleared of charges of sexual assault became an auditor of the Fringe Division and journeyed to their headquarters where he began to review their procedures and determine their effectiveness. During his investigation, he began to question the mental competancy of Olivia Dunham due to her past actions. (EP: 1:11 Bound)
