Gad Hassan was the uncouth warden of the Egyptian prison where Rick O'Connell was incarcerated after having what Hassan termed "a very good time" that resulted in a bar fight and subsequent murder. Warden Hassan had a strong hatred of O'Connell, but his greed was greater and so he agreed to pardon O'Connell when Evelyn Carnahan revealed he knew the location of Hamunaptra.
