The creature known as Galactus was born in a universe that presided the current one. In this previous reality, he was born on the planet Taa where he was a humanoid called Galan who lived on a paradise world whose civilization was noted as being the most advanced technology in any in the known universe at the time. However, he lived at a time when his universe began the final stages of collapsing, as it began to contract into a ''"Cosmic Egg"''; a ball of dense compact primordial matter. Biography
Creation
The creature known as Galactus was born in a universe that presided the current one. In this previous reality, he was born on the planet Taa where he was a humanoid called Galan who lived on a paradise world whose civilization was noted as being the most advanced technology in any in the known universe at the time. However, he lived at a time when his universe began the final stages of collapsing, as it began to contract into a "Cosmic Egg"; a ball of dense compact primordial matter. Taa's civilization was one of the last to survive this existence but the deadly radiation caused by the "Big Crunch" had ultimately wiped it out as it had done to all life in this pre-universe. Galan was a space explorer during this disaster and dispatched by his people to find a means of saving his home world; a task that he ultimately failed in.
