Biography

Origin

Genocide

After joining the Secret Society of Super-Villains, Doctor T. O. Morrow was selected by Barbara Ann Minerva to join their Science Division where he proposed the creation of a Justice League killer. Thus, he was given the resources to set forth in creating an artificial being suited for the goal. (Wonder Woman v3 #26) Felix Faust was recruited to work with the scientific team to use magic as part of the project but he made it under the express condition that he never met the completed product. (Wonder Woman v3 #27)

Upon awakening, Morrow came to be horrified at his creation and begged Minerva to destroy it. However, she was opposed as she intended the newly created Genocide as a weapon who was first dispatched against Wonder Woman. The golem then struck at the Twin Rivers Mall located Downtown where she mercilessly murdered bystanders. Wonder Woman arrived at the scene where she battled the mysterious masked creature where she was surprised as Genocide's abilities. During the fight, Genocide came upon a fleeing bystander and took her hostage but then ruthlessly killed her in front of Wonder Woman. This provoked Wonder Woman where Genocide's powers amplified her hatred and using it against Diana leading to her swift defeat. The golem then left the defeated Amazon behind and badly wounded but not before taking her Lasso of Truth. (Wonder Woman v3 #26) She then returned to the Secret Society's hidden headquarters in Gotham City where she nearly killed Phobia. Bringing with her the Lasso of Truth, T. O. Morrow wanted to test the magical relic but Genocide instead wanted it woven into her body. The surgery was then performed by the new Crime Doctor where she was dispatched by Minerva on an assignment to strike at the Department of Metahuman Affairs. Genocide massacred many of the staff at the site though survivors managed to call in the Justice League of America. Despite their numbers, the heroes were unable to stop the golem who used the Lasso of Truth as a weapon to attack the soul of Green Lantern John Stewart. (Wonder Woman v3 #27)

Post-Flashpoint

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Paula von Gunther with her allies travelled to the Tyrrhenian Sea and battled the Gargeran legions in order for her to reach a hidden tomb. This was the site that contained the defeated Genocide which Paula awakened to serve as the last of her four Horsemen that were to ride into battle against Wonder Woman. (Wonder Woman v1 #754)
