History
Ghost Traps were device that is capable of containing ghosts and similar ectoplasmic entities until they can be deposited in the Containment Unit, invented by the Ghostbusters.
Overview
In appearance, a Trap was a rectangular box-shaped container with a handle on the side and a wire attached to a pedal that could be used to open or close it. It was used in conjunction with a Proton Pack where the trap was set whilst the Proton Pack's streams were used to direct a spectral entity to the vicinity of the device. Once there, the trap was activated through the pedal and it pulled the ghost within it where it was imprisoned within the container.
