Hala was a planet situated in the Pama star system within the Large Magellanic Cloud which was home to the Kree and Cotati races.

Overview

Notable locations on the planet included:

  • Haline : a non-technological subterranean city. (Annihilation Conquest: Wraith v1 #2)
  • Haroun : an underground city on Hala. (Annihilation Conquest: Wraith v1 #1)
  • Gon-Ket Glacier : located in the southern pole that was a ritual palace created by Kree ice smiths making it into a site where dynastic ceremonies were conducted by tradition. (War of Kings v1 #1)
  • Rad-Nam :

Notes

  • Hala was created by Roy Thomas and Gene Colan where it made its first appearance in Captain Marvel v1 #1 (May, 1968).

In other media

Television

  • In Silver Surfer, the Kree homeworld made an appearance in the animated series where it was referred to as Kree-Lar. The episode "The Forever War" showed the Silver Surfer going to Kree-Lar in order to consult the Supreme Intelligence about the location of Zenn-La.
  • In Guardians of the Galaxy, Hala was mentioned in the episode "Hitchin' a Ride" where it was referred to as the homeworld of the Kree and held a population of billions. The Cosmic Seed empowered Symbiotes had set a course towards Hala in order to infect it's populace but were destroyed by the Guardians of the Galaxy.
