Biography

Original Timeline

Havik was a devotee of chaos.

Havik was an inhabitant of Chaosrealm, a dimension who's inhabitants worshipped the concepts of chaos and opposed the forces of order. He was involved in many conflicts against Seido the realm of Order and at times fought in Outworld. At some point, Havik met the warrior Shujinko in the realm of Chaos. At the time, the warriors from Seido had established a presence in Chaos realm and established mechanical pumps to steal the realm's water. Havik assigned several of his priests to sabotage their atttempts but they failed. After meeting Shujinko, Havik promised to teach him the ways of Chaos on the condition that he defeated the Seidan presence. To aid him in his task, Havik asked the Earthrealm warrior to place a pendant around the necks of the Seidans which would convert them into disciples of Chaos. When Shujinko completed his task, he returned to Havik and informed him on the Seidan defeat. He then asked Havik to complete his promise at which point Havik attacked him as he found the concept of being bound by a promise against his religion. Despite the battle, Shujinko was successful and managed to escape. Later on, he continued his wanderings among the realms in order to sow disorder. His latest sojourn had brought him to the Outworld city of Lei Chen which came to be occupied by the Seidan Commander Hotaru. For many years, he had kept Chaos at bay beyond the outer walls with Havik looking to undo the Order he had fought so hard to maintain.

He later discovered that the Dragon King Onaga had been resurrected and began his plans at reuniting the realms under his rule. This challenged Havik's concept of chaos and he began his move at stopping the Emperor of Outworld. On his journey's, he encountered a heavily wounded Kabal who had been defeated and left for dead by Mavado. Treating the warriors injuries, he convinced him to restore the glory of the Black Dragon clan. The two allies then recruited Kira and Kobra into the Black Dragon. Havik's goal was simple, to venture into Outworld and lure various heroes into the realm to battle the Emperor Onaga. This meant that the heroes of the realms discovered Onaga's location through Havik's machinations. His hope was that they would defeat the Dragon King leaving him in a weakened state to the point that Havik could slay him. He would then eat his heart and absorb its magical properties allowing him to resurrect the dead. His plan was to bring the Emperor Shao Kahn back to life in order for him to continue his plans for conquest and leave all the realms in chaos.

An apparition of Havik was created by Shinnok and placed within his Spire in the Netherrealm. This was part of a plot to trick Taven in believing that Shinnok's enemies that removed him from his Spire and attempted to gain control of the realm. The apparition was defeated though the real Havik was one of many kombatants that tried to gain the power presented by the fire elemental Blaze. He was later seen among the Forces of Darkness during the Battle of Armageddon where like many of the other kombatants he was shown to had been killed in the fighting.

If successful in defeating Blaze, Havik gained ultimate power which he used to bring chaos to all the realms leaving them to his ideal of chaotic perfection. Becoming Chaos incarnate, his aura corrupted the stability of the realms, causing them to rip, tear and reshape in grotesque ways. In time, nothing remained that resembled the former universe thus fulfilling Havik's dream that he had realized namely that the Ultimate Chaos having been achieved.

Reboot Timeline

During the Armageddon, Shao Kahn ultimately won where all of creation faced destruction but during the last moments of Raiden he managed to his past experiences back to his younger self. This created a change in the timeline as the younger Raiden was guided by the scattered visions of the future where he sought to avert this dark future.

Though believed to had been killed by Quan Chi, Havik appears to be alive in the altered timeline. This was revealed by Shang Tsung who briefly banished Geras to Chaosrealm after he, Fujin and Nightwolf defeated Geras in the Shaolin Trap Dungeon.

Overview

Personality and skills

One of the alternate endings with Havik consuming Onaga's heart.

In appearance, Havik was a humanoid that wore a silver head piece in reveal a Chaos Headress that covers both his forehead and cheeks that is a headdress-like mask adorned with ancient symbols representing the various degrees of chaos in line has a short ponytail. He has blank eyes and his distinct feature is his half naked skull. His clothing is half sleeveless and barely covers the torso in which he wears a medallion that is engraved in four Chinese symbols in separate places. His sleves is red and black, covering his arm with a glove. His chest in half appears to look like skeleton rib cage. Along with his clothing, he wears armor in his shoulders and his legs. He also wears a red flap dangling in front of him; wearing grey and black boots.

As described by his title as a Cleric of Chaos, Havik believed that Chaos was the ultimate state of existence. He believed that the universe thrived in it when opposing forces were pittied against one another in a never ending state of turmoil. Thus, he worshipped entropy like most of his people. This meant that he felt more kinship to warlords that brought terror to the realms through conquest then those that sought to unite all the people.

Havik was a religious being who worshipped chaos and thus wandered the realms in order to spread disorder like most of his kind. Thus, he worked to convert people into his way of thinking which he did either by philosophical exchange or through coercion by magical means. This meant that he preferred covert and subtle means to achieve his goal which was the opposite of Hotaru's direct approach.

As a denizen of Chaosrealm, Havik despised order and saw it as a threat to everything in which he believed. His mission is to create mayhem and further unravel the fabric of life. He would also destroy anyone who sought to control others. He vehemently opposed concepts of control and order to the point that he broke promises as he felt that they were an attempt to impose order on him. This made him the polar opposite of the warrior Hotaru from Seido. Like many people from his home realm, Havik had a religious view on water and believed it to be the perfect avatar of his belief in chaos.

Powers and abilities

Havik was a skeletal looking Humanoid who had a great deal of control over his body. This allowed him to dislocate his limbs without being dangerously injured. Being a cleric of Chaos, Havik possesses a fighting style showcasing a bizarre assortment of techniques that can both throw off and devastate the opponent's mind and body. His body is so warped that he experiences joy and pleasure instead of pain and is able to rejuvenate himself by dislocating his own limbs or even recover from what should be life ending injuries such as a broken neck and crushed skull. Because of his unpredictable ways, what may seem as a battle of death is nothing more than either a lesson or a friendly conversation. Beyond this is a fighting style revolving around savagery and mayhem. Havik also possesses a healing factor, which is what allows him to survive his deadly contortions, such as his neck snapping, and even reattach severed limbs with little hassle.

He was shown to be trained in two different forms of martial arts which were Snake and Tang Soo Do. Snake Styke Kung Fu was a martial art which imitated the movement of actual snakes.

It was shown that he was well aware of magic and was capable of using such means to further his goals. This was demonstrated in his knowledge of the Dragon King's magical heart and its resurrection properties. Furthermore, he had pendants that were capable of changing people to accept the ways of chaos.

In battle, he wielded the Morningstar which was mace that served as his primary weapon. It was a medieval club-like weapons consisting of a shaft with an attached ball adorned with one or more spikes. Its design consisted of a spiked ball mounted on a shaft resembling a mace, usually with a long spike extending straight from the top and many smaller spikes around the head.

The spikes distinguish it from a mace, which can have flanges or small knobs. It can also come in two forms, where it either has a handle like a mace or the ball being attached to a chain which is in turn attached to a handle like a flail.
