Following the Flashpoint, a new version of history was created with a different series of events.
Bendix was said to had worked in partnership with the Gardener with the two being responsible for creating Midnighter. However, their partnership was said to had been terminated after he had crossed a line. He was later recruited by Amanda Waller to complete a project he had made in the past. (Midnighter v2 #9)
