- Hunter Zolomon was created by Geoff Johns and Scott Kolins where he made his first appearance in The Flash: Secret Files & Origins v1 #3 (November, 2001) and later debuted as Zoom in The Flash v2 #197 (June, 2003).
In other media
Television
- In the 2014 The Flash series, the character of Zoom and Hunter Zolomon both appeared in the second season of the show as separate character. Zoom was a speedster from Earth-2 that was the nemesis of Jay Garrick who had arrived on Earth-1 in order to steal the Speed Force from Barry Allen. The episode "The Reverse-Flash" revealed that the Earth-1 counterpart of Jay Garrick was orphaned in his childhood and adopted with him being known as Hunter Zolomon who lacked any superpowers.
