- L-Ron was created by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, Steve Leialoha and Al Gordon where he made his first appearance in Justice League International v1 #14 (June, 1988).

- In Young Justice: Invasion, L-Ron made an appearance in the episode "Cornered" where he was voiced by actor Phil LaMarr. He appeared as floating gold skinned majordomo of intergalactic gladiator Despero whete he aided his master fighting worthy combatants. L-Ron drew his attention to the Superheroes on the planet Earth where Despero battled a number of Heroes at the Hall of Justice. After Despero's defeat, L-Ron called the heroes cheaters whereupon he went into battle mode to fight them but was destroyed when Billy Batson jumped on his back and called the magic lightning to become Captain Marvel.
